File too big to upload to Claims Wingman or the VA (Veterans Affairs) website? Cut it into pieces that fit, or pull out just the pages you need. Everything happens on your own computer. Your file is never uploaded, unless you choose the optional AI reading, which sends only the pages the computer couldn’t read to Anthropic using your own key. Built for desktop browsers.
Got your C-file (claims file)? Don’t load the whole thing into Claims Wingman. A C-file can run hundreds or thousands of pages, far bigger than Claims Wingman can take in one file (each file has to be under 20 megabytes and 100 pages). And most of it is paperwork that won’t help your claim: envelopes, cover sheets, copies of copies. Choose your C-file below and let Automatic sort it into separate documents, each named with its date. Then load only the ones that matter: your DBQs (Disability Benefits Questionnaires), decision letters, and key treatment notes.
Look on the site you're uploading to. It usually says something like "Maximum file size: 25 MB (megabytes)." Put that number here and every piece will come out smaller than it. Not sure? Pick a smaller size. It always works; you just get more pieces.
The computer scan reads the words on every page, right here on your computer, and finds each document by its form numbers and headings. The scan itself uploads nothing, and nothing is cut until you check the list.

Use the page numbers your document viewer shows (page 1 is the first page of the file), not numbers printed on the pages themselves. They often don't match.

Pick all the pieces at once. They're put back together in name order, so keep the names the splitter gave them. Document pieces are merged into one document, so you can also use this to combine separate forms into a single file.
